Has almost everything

Impressive gunsmithing; fitment and overall finish are great and as long as you discount the grips the guns seems perfect to me. The problem with the grips is that they don't fit - protrude past the frame on the bottom, the lower back and inside curve. To hold the 1873 (let-alone fire this) is an exercise in discomfort - correcting the problem was time consuming but eventually, after removing the grips, reshaping and smoothing grip edges (first with files and then varying grades of sandpaper) the poor fit was remedied. Spending this much on a firearm made me check multiple sources as to opinions and reputation and Pietta generally came out best for out-of-the-box quality, so this was not anticipated. In closing, the effort was not overwhelming and though grip replacement would have been relatively inexpensive, these things should not have been encountered in the first place, which speaks volumes for quality control.
