Steyr AUG A3 556 Nato Stock Stormtrooper White AUGM1WHINATOEXT
Steyr Mannlicher AUGM1WHINATOEXT: The iconic bullpup-style Steyr AUG has been one of the most recognizable rifles in the world since its adoption by the Austrian army in 1977 and is now available for civilian use as the Steyr AUG A3 M1. The short-stroke gas-piston operation of the AUG runs exceptionally cleaner by nature because all of the operational exhaust gas vents out of the front of the rifle. The AUG A3 M1 has all the classic features and benefits that established it as the pinnacle of modern rifle design. It also features a quick-change barrel with a collapsible forward grip as well as a two-position cross-bolt safety that locks the trigger. This firearm is chambered in 223 Rem/5.56 NATO, has a 16" barrel with a black metal finish, a white synthetic stock, and has a extended rail for optics.

This is only my second bullpup rifle (bought a Tavor SAR years ago when they were first available in the US) and I've had it in my hands for just about 24 hours now, but it's quickly becoming one of my favorites! The Steyr AUG A3 M1 in Stormtrooper white is simply too cool for school, Daddy-O! But it's the modularity of the design that really makes me love this rifle. I haven't even fired it yet and I know it's going to be one of the easiest guns to clean in my collection. I think *maybe* only a bolt action would easier. The trigger is pretty terrible by most standards, but it's a bullpup so it's entirely expected. I doubt it will take a way from the gun overall.
If I had to find something to complain about, I suppose it could be the way the charging handle locks upright when the bolt is pulled clear to the back. I found that when I mounted my Aimpoint PRO with American Defense Mfg. AD-68 QD mount to the extended rail, my preferred location resulted in the QD lever blocking the full movement of the charging handle and I wasn't able to lock the handle in place. Moving the mount further forward or rearward on the rail resulted in the Aimpoint PRO being in less than ideal locations. I suppose I could install the PRO so the QD lever would be on the right side of the rail, but I'm too accustomed to having my QD levers quickly accessible with my left hand so I can keep my right hand on the pistol grip. However, I also purchased the Steyr factory 3x optic for the A3 M1 rifle, so installing that will make the QD lever/charging handle issue a moot point.
And props to Gunprime! You guys have the best price on this rifle anywhere on the internet. (My FFL even said it was lower than their dealer pricing and he was probably going to order one from Gunprime for himself, too, to take advantage of the sale pricing!) And the service? Wow! I ordered it on a Monday morning, it shipped the same day, and it was in my dealers shop and ready for me to pick up the following Friday morning. Less than a week between me clicking on the purchase button and having the rifle in my grubby little paws. That's outstanding! Thanks, Gunprime!

The Steyr AUG stanag (NATO) in classic storm trooper white. Arrived at my FFL 2 weeks after placement with Gunprime. Just in time to fight in the Great COVID war of 2020! Hopefully I will be a better shot with it than your average stormtrooper.
I am a bull pup fan, the AUG is no exception. Center balanced, long picatinny rail, just add the optics you want. I went with the NATO version for compatibility with my existing magazines. Many however give great ratings to the AUG waffle magazines. Ergonomics I would give an A+, trigger B- due to its plastic feel. (Best way to describe) The IWI Tavor has a better trigger. A solid B+ for the AUG for control layout.
This is not a first gun type of weapon but for a more seasoned user. Like any weapons system will need some relearning to become efficient.
Gunprime was the only vendor to have units in stock at a fair price for today’s market.
