Description

Swedish 1887 Nagant revolver. Built by Husqvarna in about 1905, these are attractive examples of the kind of small-bore double-action revolvers popular among European militaries in the late 1800s. This revolver was imported into the US by one of the big surplus importers (Federal Firearms) in the 1950s, who fitted these with .22 caliber sleeves in the chambers and barrels to convert them to .22 Long Rifle. That makes them lose a little historical value, perhaps, but makes them a whole lot more shootable - when was the last time you saw 7.5mm Swedish Ordnance Revolver ammo? Condition is very good throughout. All assembly numbers match, and a large unit number / rack number is present on the right rear of the revolver. Mechanical function is expectedly excellent - these revolvers saw no war and little use, so are often in great condition. A little bit of the deep blue has started to brown on the right rear of the frame but has not crusted. These are well done conversions that save very cool but unshootable revolvers and are a great piece of any collection of European militaria.
