The FN 509 is a semi automatic striker fired pistol chambered in 9mm and developed for demanding military and combat use. It features a 4 inch cold hammer forged stainless steel barrel with a recessed target crown for accuracy and durability. Improved slide and barrel geometry lowers the bore axis so recoil travels straight into the hand for better control and faster follow up shots.

A polymer frame with aggressive stippling and added texturing on the front and backstrap provides a secure grip. Trijicon night sights enable fast low light targeting while deep cut slide serrations and a rotating extractor support reliable manipulation and extraction. The captive double nested recoil spring and Melonite slide finish enhance longevity under heavy use.

This configuration includes three magazines for a 17+1 capacity suited to defensive or range applications. The overall length of 7.4 inches and weight of 26.9 ounces keep it practical for carry or duty. Its loaded chamber indicator and polished feed ramp contribute to consistent performance across ammunition types.
