Your Guide to Century Arms Firearms

Century International Arms, or simply Century Arms, is a United States-based firearms manufacturer and importer. The company is headquartered in Florida and prides itself on offering “unique, innovative, and quality products to the U.S. Consumer and U.S. Government.”

History

Century Arms was founded in 1961 by William Sucher and Manny Weigensberg. The company started out as a reseller of firearms. By the 1970s, they started importing and refitting surplus firearms from foreign manufacturers and became the single largest importer of firearms in the United States. Today, the company still imports and refits surplus firearms, as well as developing and manufacturing their own. They make a wide assortment of firearms, including rifles, shotguns, and pistols. Some of their most popular firearms are the Draco, Micro Draco, Mini Draco, and C308.

Draco

The Draco is a compact semi-automatic pistol whose looks are inspired by the AK, but with modern twists. It comes with a 30-round standard capacity magazine and is compatible with all standard AK magazines, making it easily adaptable to your needs. The pistol sports a compact 12.25” chrome-lined barrel and has a 7.62x39mm caliber.

The Draco comes in a few variants, as well: the Draco Blade, the Draco NAK9, and the Draco NAK9X. The Draco Blade features a KAK Shockwave Blade stabilizer on the rear for additional support. The Draco NAK9 uses Glock magazines instead of AK ones and has a 9mm Luger caliber. The Draco NAK9X eliminates the wooden forearm of the traditional Draco for an all matte black look. It also adds a Magpul MOE handguard and grip and a Shockwave Blade brace to make it suitable for home defense use.

Mini Draco and Micro Draco

The Mini Draco and Micro Draco are condensed forms of the Draco. These semi-automatic pistols measure in with a compact 7.75” barrel on the Mini and 6.25” barrel on the Micro. Their small size, however, doesn’t take away from their power. Both pistols accept standard AK magazines with their 7.62x39mm calibers, and they pack a punch. Their compact design allows for use in close quarters, which makes them ideal for home security.

C308

The Century Arms C308 is a semi-automatic rifle. Its name comes from its .308 caliber. The rifle is built around a roller-lock delayed blowback system and features an 18" chrome moly 4140 barrel and a fluted chamber for reliable cycling and extraction. It accepts both G3 and CETME magazines. The C308’s durability and reliability make it an ideal sporting rifle.

C39V2

Century Arms C39V2 is the premier milled AK rifle available. This semi-automatic rifle is called “The American AK.” It is 100% American-made while remaining compatible with AKM features and aftermarket components and accepting all standard AK magazines. It features a side scope rail mount, standard AK sights, and a heat-treated bolt carrier tail that ensures maximum performance and life.

The C39V2 comes in several varieties, including the C39V2 - MOE, which comes with  Magpul's MOE grip, handguard, and buttstock; C39V2 - Pistol which provides the power of a rifle in a pistol-sized package; C39V2 - Zhukov, which has side-folding capabilities and adjustable length of pull and comes with Magpul's MOE grip and extended Zhukov handguard; C39V2 Blade that includes the Shockwave Blade stabilizing brace; and C39V2 Tactical, which has a front sight gas block and bird cage style flash hider.

VKSA

The VSKA was introduced in 2019 as Century Arms’ newest heavy-duty AK rifle. It was reengineered using machined S7 tool steel, which is known for its maximum shock resistance and high compression strength. The VSKA rifle features an all-new bolt carrier, front trunnion, and feed ramp, with a steel barrel and bolt. It has a 7.62 x 39mm caliber and accepts standard AK magazines. The VSKA is ideal for any sporting need.

Other Firearms

Century Arms manufactures a number of other firearms. The AES 10B is a variant of the Russian RPK and regarded as a “big brother” to the AK rifle. The PSL 54 is a powerful rifle and one of the most famous DMR rifles ever made. The JW-2000 Coach Shotgun is available in 12 gauge and 20 gauge variants, both of which include authentic features like fully functional rabbit ear hammers and double triggers. The PW87 Lever Action Shotgun is a 12 gauge with lever action design. The WASR-10 is the demilitarized version of the famous Romanian AK-style service rifle.

Century Arms is also the importer for Canik pistols, which come from Turkey. These 9mm pistols are compact, powerful, and reliable, making them ideal for home defense. The TP9SF is a 9mm, striker-fired pistol. The TP9SA is similar, but it features a striker decocker that allows for safer disassembly. If you’re looking for Canik pistols on sale, be sure to check out the ONE Series, which features the same reliable pistols at low prices.

The Bottom Line

Overall, Century Arms firearms are ideal for a sportsman or collector looking for AK-style rifles. They are good for sporting use and home defense, depending on the style and size of the firearm. If you are looking for a handgun, Century Arms also imports Canik pistols, which pack power in a small, budget-friendly package.
