Smooth, and breaks like glass

Maybe it's just because it's an 1911 with a direct trigger that goes to the disconnector and sear, but this trigger pulls as smooth as glass and with a little tuning, it can become so precise that the backlash and take-up become basically nonexistent. only shifting when the disconnector falls into place.

the slide is smooth be not as much as I'd like, but with some break in, the guides polish themselves to a state I like.

grips feel terrible and immediately swapped them out with a set of VZ stipple

the Swartz safety makes reassembling the slide problematic at times, but can be worked on as long as the grip safety doesnt stick; and even then, some percussive maintenance drops the pin.

I swapped out the Mainspring housing with a Ed Brown Maxi-Well with the Chain-link style stippling. It matches the front grip and slide knurling perfectly and and blued finish is close enough to the black finish of the frame where it blends in and looks almost OEM.

Highly recommend the upgrades as the magwell makes it so much more fun to use on the range
