Dan Wesson V-BOB 45 ACP 8rd 4.25" STS BLK Duty 01825

This is my second Dan Wesson and 3rd 1911. This was just too sweet of a deal at $1599 to pass up. I took it to the range last week and the first shot was dead center. I love the orange outlined front sight and blacked out rear sight. Sight alignment is quick and easy to find. Since the feed ramp isn’t fully supported, I have to pay attention to the type of Hollow Point ammunition that I use. As is common with 1911’s without fully supported feed ramps, the ammunition needs to be more of a round nose in order to feed correctly and problem free. Remington Sabre HP 185 and Sig V-Crown 200 HP are both round nosed and feed well. Added some Wilson Combat magazines and Stoner CNC grips and I’m all set. It’s a great pistol.

This is just a beautiful firearm. Out of the box it just makes you appreciate what a well engineered and hand-fitted work of art this 1911 truly is. Fit and finish is just impeccable. First trip to the range wasn’t a surprise as it shoots as expected. Accurate, manageable recoil, and flawless. This handgun is one that you want to display so everyone can admire how handsome it really is. A true “winner” in my book. Thanks Dan Wesson…!!!
